How loose is their use of the phrase "I love you"?
Do they remind their friends they love them all the time? Is the phrase reserved for their partner alone, or perhaps hard to pry out of them? Have they ever said it but didn't mean it?

sylvie uses it a lot!!!! they are very physically and verbally affectionate, and love to them is not something that's really differentiated between platonic and romantic (they don't see why a barrier needs to be between the two, obviously they reserve some intimacy for their partner, but overall love is love), so they very liberally tell their friends they love them (unless obviously boundaries and all that)

Roan notably refuses to say it to anyone but Vesper. Even when he does, it's a rare occurrence, and he always acts like it didn't happen afterward.

Vesper doesn't actually have deep connections with anyone besides Roan. She kind of hates her friends and definitely hates her family. However, compared to Roan, she has no shame about repeating "I love you!" gleefully and constantly.
